Idea 1. Saw these fourms last night and got to thinking "well fuck that would be cool but its to much money to actually happen" when it hit me. When your playing a game like warcraft (not WOW) you have your workers and thats it really they take the natural resources around them and build what they need. They dont just run down to the local home depot and start buying lumber they cut it down and make it. I think using this a basis as how we use funding might really improve how much we can do with the set amount of money we have. This really starts work well in say an island environment yes we need electricity and fresh water well theres plenty of ways of generating both of those cheaply "in-house" as well as using a builderfag to teach us no bodys to construct basic houses

Idea 2. As far as this small town being an experiment for a "city of the future" we would someone who as experience in this type of thing. I watched a movie a while back called Future by design, in the movie a futures by the name of Jacque Fresco details his ideas of how a town could become self sufficant and "green".

great movie with tons of really good idea

hope this helps

With anons like you yes, but to the anons who actually are less neckbeards and more doers, I think this works out. You've got to realize that /b/ consists of 70% neckbeard newfags, 5% child molesters 10% traps/camwhores and cumdumpsters and the rest, well we are the intellectual few who actually want to do something in our lives and makes something work for once. I speak for myself on this but I've been coming to /b/ all these years because it's a place to anonymously vent, laugh, trollolol and at times have an honest conversation, I come there because the world is so fucked up and this is my escape and I think I'm not alone.

That being said, it will be those of us who will follow through with this and actually do something for once.

I also work and strive to do better personally, however that doesn't change the fact that like you said, 70% of anon is fail in nature.

I'll try to be positive though because i actually do want to see this work besides my VERY cynical nature.

so i was thinking a bit for ways to mae money:
we have natural resources right?

why not simply exploit the crap out of them. For example in the Badlands there is a rather large amount of freshwater there so if we had a large water treatment plant we could start setting up shop with that because everyone needs water to live.

Oh the water system there is already in place, I do know the process of drilling for water saying we have a reasonable amount of underground water.

Underground water is heavily present, but it is deep if I remember correctly.

it'll be a bit of money to get to but it will not be a problem to extract the water once the well has been drilled

Nice, didn't realize we had underground water as well.

Anyways we could also set up lumber forests for people to use.

yes it wouldn't be active for quite a few years but eventually it would AND provide a large amount of resources...
theres quite a few different types of trees that grow fairly rapidly and are very durable, such as a blue spruce. i feel we could actually get away with this, provided that Anon raises the money fast enough.

Now i'm in college so i'm a poorfag right now, but i could try to see how i can help if possible.

Actually the forestization of this area will be tough to do, it will waste valuable land and honestly do us no good. I say this because I am a Forester lol
